Follow these Dice Rules and Etiquette while Enjoying Craps
If you have been attracted to a Craps table by all the wild cheering and shouting then you also need to follow these dice rules and etiquette while enjoying this action-packed game. Since this exciting game is based on the numbers rolled from the 2 dice, it is important that you learn the dice rules and follow proper etiquette to enjoy the game with other players.
When it is your turn to roll the dice, you will be presented with 2 or 3 pairs of dice by the stickman or stickperson. You will need to choose a pair and the others will be taken back. You need to make sure that you hold both dice only in one hand before shaking your hand and tossing them across the other side of the table.
The dice must bounce on the wall of the table before coming to a rest on the table. You must not throw the dice aggressively since they might fly off the table and evoke angry looks from the dealer and other players, and that throw will anyway not be considered.
While shaking the dice in one hand and chanting your favorite prayer is tolerated, hanging on to the dice for a long time while praying will not be appreciated by others. You must also make sure that you do not attempt to conceal the dice in any manner while holding them or shaking them before a toss. In case the boxman or boxperson notices such a suspicious move then he or she will insist on inspecting the dice and may also issue new ones.
Any player that has made a Pass Line or Don?t Pass Line bet can undertake a Come Out roll of the dice. That player can continue rolling till the end of the round. Some casinos also allow another person such as someone considered as a lucky mascot to roll the dice on the behalf of a player. However, it is best to ask the casino dealer first if such a move is allowed since you may be reprimanded or even be asked to leave a craps game in case of any move deemed as illegal by the casino.
In case both or one of the dice flies off the table or ends up in the chip pot then you do not need to run over to pick them up. The stickman or stickperson will firstly call out a No Roll, which means that the bet will not be considered for that roll and will issue a new pair of dice to you. This move is made by casinos to make sure that a player does not try to switch genuine dice with rigged ones in the guise of picking up the dice from the ground.
Since most players follow some superstitious routine, you too can do the same. However, you must ensure that you do not end up irritating other players or the dealers with loud chants or by actually kissing the dice or blowing upon them.
You can definitely have a lot of fun as well as earn huge money at this fast-paced game where loud shouts and whoops of joy or despair follow each roll of the dice. However, you must follow all dice rules and ensure proper etiquette while enjoying the fun-filled game of Craps.
